Equity is complicated as it asks us to trust in the communal hope of a whole community. Hope that lives within that collective respond with compassion for the whole. I find these words by Howard Zinn capture an essence of how we hope in these times so that equity might thrive I wonder what you hear:
To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness."
What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives.
WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!
